Short version: we collect as little as possible, children never get accounts, and we do not sell or share anything. Ever.
Who we are
School of David Academy is a private curriculum and learning program for homeschooling families, based in the Austin, Texas metro area. We are not an accredited school. You can reach us at our contact page.
What we collect today
The site is not open for enrollment yet, so right now there is exactly one thing we collect:
- Your email address, if you join the cohort waiting list, along with which page you were on when you joined.
That is the whole list. We do not store your IP address, we do not run analytics, and there is no advertising pixel of any kind on this website. If you open the page source you will find no third-party scripts, because there are none.
What we will collect when enrollment opens
We would rather tell you now than surprise you later. When you enroll we will need a parent name and email, a password, payment details handled entirely by our payment processor and never stored by us, and a first name or nickname plus a grade level for each learner.
Children do not get accounts
This is a design decision, not a setting. Children never receive logins, passwords or email addresses from us. There is no child-facing account to compromise. Learners appear on a parent’s dashboard as a name and a grade, nothing more, and a nickname is perfectly acceptable. We do not ask for a child’s birthdate, last name, photograph or voice.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
- We do not use it to train AI models.
- We do not place trackers on pages your child will see.
Who else touches it
Today: nobody. The waiting list lives on our own server. When enrollment opens we will use a payment processor to handle card details and an email service to send you the things you asked for, and we will name both of them on this page before we start.
How long we keep it
Waiting-list emails are kept until enrollment opens or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Once enrollment is live, family accounts are kept while your subscription is active and for ninety days after it ends so you can come back easily, then deleted automatically. Ask us to delete sooner and we will do it within thirty days.
Your rights
Write to us and we will show you what we hold, correct it, export it or delete it. No forms, no hoops. We aim to answer within one business day and we will not exceed thirty days.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored hashed and never in readable form, administrative access requires multi-factor authentication, and we keep a written security programme. If a breach ever affected your information we would tell you, and the authorities our state requires, within the time the law allows.
Changes
If we change anything that matters we will update the date at the top and email account holders. We will not quietly widen what we do with your information.
